Resolved Question: Best Beach Vacation Spot (Contential U.S. ONLY)?

Hello, I plan on surprising my girlfriend for Valentines Day and booking a vacation to a beach location in the United States. I live in Missouri so I can't take the trip to California. I was I was thinking somewhere along the lines of Gulf Shores, AL, Pensacola Beach, FL, Myrtle Beach, SC... Are there any locations you would reccommend? I am trying to stay in the panhandle only for Florida as far west as Gulf Shores and as far north on the coast as Virginia Beach.
